Information Communication Technology

Information Communication Technology

ICT is a generic abbreviation given to technologies that include radio, television, as well as new digital technologies such as computers, mobile telephones and the Internet. It has been stated that these technologies can be used as powerful enabling tools for educational change and reform, when used appropriately.

Different technologies can help to expand the access to education whilst strengthening the relevance of education to the continuously developing digital workplace. ICT is used to enhance the quality of experience of pupils within the classroom. It is also used as a tool to enable pupils to improve the quality of coursework submitted for assessment.

Within school our priority is to teach pupils the skills necessary to progress to fulfil their potential.

Schemes of work are designed to engage the pupils in the activities being undertaken, whilst also ensuring that all pupils are able to progress at an appropriate pace.
